Camellia oil is also known as tea seed oil or camellia tea seed oil. It’s extracted from a woody oil Family – camellia oleifera trees.
China is the country that hosts the most tea tree species in the world and is the home to the prized camellia oleifera, a rare evergreen tree originating in China. Also known as tea tree oil and tea seed oil, camellia oil is extracted from the seeds of the camellia oleifera. Camellia oil has an extensive history dating back thousands of years. Before the western world discovered its benefits and healthy properties, the Chinese had been pressing the oil for generations. In China it is used as cooking oil as well as a moisturizer and hair oil.
ShanCha Inc.’s organic camellia oil comes from the wildly grown camellia tree forest that sets in the undisturbed ecosystem in Xin County of Henan province. Each camellia seed is handpicked, and then pressed with modern technology. Our pressing facility meets the air quality standard for medical processing. The finished product is golden, clear camellia oil that’s completely organic and of the highest quality.
